Lumeira is a Mac image viewer published by Qazana Systems LTD, the group behind qazana.net. The sections below cover the desktop app and this marketing site together.

Data controller

Qazana Systems LTD runs this marketing site, which means we are responsible for whatever personal data the hosting provider logs here. Purchases go through Apple; receipt data and anything you agreed to in checkout sit with Apple's privacy policy, not this page.

Information the app processes

You choose which files and folders to open. Filenames, pixels, and EXIF stay on the machine while you browse, tweak metadata in the UI, or export. Ordinary use does not upload your library to a Qazana-run cloud service.

Local storage and settings

Theme, shortcuts, and recent folders typically live in UserDefaults (or the equivalent) on your Mac. They stay put unless something like iCloud backup copies app data off-device, which is controlled by your Apple ID, not us.

Diagnostic logs

The app writes technical events (how long a decode took, which step of an open failed) to the macOS unified log on your Mac. Diagnostics may include file names and paths, depending on the app version and your logging settings. Review logs before sharing them. Nothing is sent to us automatically; you choose whether to share a log when asking for help. MetricKit performance and diagnostic reports are also stored locally in the app’s Library/Logs/Lumeira folder. These reports are not uploaded automatically.

Website

This site, and only this site, uses Google Analytics 4 to count page views. It records the page you looked at, a rough region derived from your IP address (Google discards the address itself), your browser and device type, and a random identifier in a first-party cookie so repeat visits are not double counted. We have turned off Google Signals and ad personalisation, so the data is not joined to a Google account or used for advertising. Google's own policy covers how they process it. The hosting provider may also log routine web telemetry. The desktop app does not load Google Analytics or anything like it, and this site does not attempt to read image files from your computer.

Purchases

If you bought Lumeira on the Mac App Store, Apple runs payments and their privacy policy governs that relationship. Do not treat this page as a copy of theirs.

Children

Lumeira is not directed at children who still need a parent's OK to use apps on their own (in the US that age is commonly 13). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

When something important changes, we revise this page and move the "Last updated" line.
