Go through 500 AI generations in twenty minutes

A workflow for the output folder from Midjourney, ComfyUI, or Stable Diffusion: keep the good ones, trash the rest, do not lose the seeds.

You ran a batch overnight. The folder has five hundred PNGs, half of them fine, a few of them great, and a lot with six fingers. The job is to end up with the good ones and nothing else, without opening each one in something slow.

Set up

Open the folder in Lumeira. Press T to pin the thumbnail strip so you can see where you are. Press 0 once to check what actual size looks like on your screen, then again to go back to fit.

First pass: obvious rejects

Hold →. Images appear as fast as you can read them. When one is clearly wrong, ⌘⌫ moves it to the Trash and the next one appears. You get a confirmation the first time; it is the only interruption.

Nothing here is destructive. The Trash is the Trash.

Second pass: the close calls

For anything that might be a keeper, press 0 for actual size and look at the hands, the text, the edges. Press M for a loupe if the artifact is small. 0 again to go back.

When two are nearly the same

This is where compare mode earns its keep. Press K with the first candidate on screen. The next image opens beside it. Tap → until the right pane shows the other candidate. Scroll to zoom into the same detail in both. Decide, then K to leave, and trash the loser.

Four variants of one seed? K, then A twice, and arrow each pane to a different one. See Compare images side by side.

Keep the metadata

Most generators write the prompt, seed, and settings into the PNG. Lumeira does not touch the file, so all of that stays. Press I to see what the file carries.

What you end up with

A folder of keepers, a Trash you can empty or dig through, and no exports, copies, or sidecar files to clean up later.
