Pick the best of four variants
Same prompt, four seeds, one decision. Put them in a grid and zoom into the same spot in all of them.
Generators love giving you four. Picking the best of four by flipping between them one at a time is slow and you forget what the first one looked like by the fourth. Put them in a grid instead.
Get the four on screen
Open the folder and go to the first variant. Press K: the first two are now side by side. Press A: a third pane opens, active. Tap → until it shows the third variant. Press A again and arrow the fourth pane to the fourth.
Or, if the four are not next to each other in the folder, press K and drag the other three in from the thumbnail strip.
Look at the same thing in all of them
Scroll to zoom. All four panes zoom around the same point. Drag to pan; all four pan. Go to the face, the hands, the lettering, whatever decides it. You are looking at the same crop of each.
Swap one out
Not sure about pane three? Click it, then arrow to a different candidate. The other three stay where they are.
Decide and clean up
Press K to leave the grid. You are back on the last active image. Trash the ones that lost with ⌘⌫, or leave them and move on.
Nothing is written to the files, and the prompt and seed inside each PNG are untouched.
